Siding
Iron Town Siding
Iron Town, UT
The problem
The home had older pressed-board siding with swelling, rot, buckling, and other weather-related damage. A rear carport had also been framed in to create additional family living space, leaving the original home and new addition in need of a complete exterior finish.
What we did
We wrapped the home and enclosed carport addition with a weather barrier, then installed insulated 7-inch lap composite siding in Mountain Fern with almond aluminum trim, soffit, and gutter. We also cut in and installed the venting for a wood-burning stove and poured a concrete slab for a new hot tub.
The job
The goal was to make the enclosed carport feel like part of the original home while giving the entire exterior a clean, finished look. We carried the new siding and trim across both the house and addition and built a hidden access panel for the exterior water heater so it remains serviceable without being visible from the driveway.
